| Quality systems plays a major role
in the company's business methodology and its methodology
is Customer oriented. |
| At Vortex, Quality systems are
developed based on the basic philosophy of ISO 9000 and
CMM. At Vortex , process owners will treat the
next process owner as their customer. It gives lot of
importance to understanding of the customer requirements
and the systems are in place to transform these requirements
into deliverables. The systems also ensure that its customers
will get their deliverables at best possible price. |
| Our Quality Analysis team is actively
involved in the development process to ensure that quality
is built into the product instead of being tested into
the product. The QA team prepares the test plans; quality
plans and manages bug-tracking process. This role works
independently but in parallel with development and maintains
checks and balances with the development team. |
| The importance given to quality at
Vortex can be understood by the fact that its QA team
reports directly to the CEO. At Vortex , the information
is only on need basis but not on want basis. This ensures
the confidentiality of its customers product development
work. |
| Periodic auditing is part of the company's
quality systems and the top management reviews audit reports
and takes necessary actions immediately. Its systems are
so designed that quality does not end with deliverables.
For example, all the coding standards are in place, which
will ensure that maintenance of deliverables will be very
comfortable. |
